vista 5270 setup error

Vista 5270 Setup error

Hi all,
Just received Vista CTP 5270 with my monthly Technet, burned the iso image on DVD and tried to install it but...
After the DVD boots and I key in the serial number, i get an error that reads "An internal Setup error occured while displaying the image selection wizard".
It is not a DVD media error, cause it does the same with both the 32- and 64-bit editions (two different discs I burnt), and even with older Vista builds.
Any ideas what the error means and how I can overcome it?
Thanks!

Try using Daemon Tools to read the ISO - www.daemon-tools.cc because then that will read the ISO directly and you won't waste any more DVD's buring it :o)
It works for me every time... see how that runs, then report back soldier! :op

Elias,
I have seen this problem. I am not sure, but believe it is video card related. The system I experienced the problem with is an older machine with integrated Intel Graphics (forget what chipset). I was able to install Vista to the same vintage machine with a Matrox card installed.
It's only an educated guess, but the video card was the only difference with these two machines. Plus, the error message itself indicates a "problem displaying the image selection wizard".
Let us know what you find ...

Hi, Elias.
You haven't told us anything about your computer. :>(
Does it use PCI-Express? SLI? Do you have two video cards installed? I'm still running AGP, but I've seen many posts from users of newer machines who had to pull one of the video cards to get Vista installed.
The more you tell us about your system, the less likely we are to lead you down some blind alley.
